The Art of (Not) Thinking
Interactive STEAM exhibition helping young people question information
About the project
The aim of the project is to use the STEAM approach to create opportunities for young people to develop their analytical and creative skills, strengthen critical thinking, and build future-oriented competences that will help them prepare for the professions of tomorrow.
Using the STEAM educational model (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), we emphasise the importance of connecting different disciplines, supporting innovative and critical thinking, and developing young people’s ability to solve problems creatively.
As part of the “The Art of (Not) Thinking” project, we will design and create an interactive travelling exhibition focused on critical thinking and working with information. The exhibition will combine original interactive elements with technological and online tools that actively engage visitors with the topic and allow them to explore it through direct experience.
We will also create methodological materials and recommendations related to the exhibition, covering activities before, during and after the visit. These materials will be intended for curators and will also include guidance for educators and visitors on how to make the most of the exhibition experience.
During the project, the exhibition will be installed for two months in Slovakia and two months in the Czech Republic.
The project will also include training for the guides and curators of the exhibition, preparing them to manage the exhibition effectively and respond to visitors’ questions, feedback and individual needs.
The “The Art of (Not) Thinking” project is supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme.
